Oil Paintings

Beginning 28 October 2020, we began the restoration process of the original oil paintings at St. Joseph in collaboration with the Office of Archives of the Diocese of Richmond and Richmond Conservation Studios.

We currently have four paintings out for restoration. There are two remaining paintings that are located on either side of the choir loft.  The process of restoration for each painting, 7 in total, will require, removal, cleaning, restreching, determination of proper procedure of remounting and reframing, as needed.
