Children's Religious Education
Formation in the Faith of the Church is a basic requirement for every Catholic following the reception of the Sacrament of Baptism. In agreeing to have their children baptized, parents accept the duty to raise their children in the faith. At a minimum, students not currently enrolled in a Catholic school in the Diocese of Richmond should be enrolled in parish religious formation. At St Joseph, multiple opportunities are provided for ensuring the proper formation of our young people.
Sunday Religious Education for our youth through kindergarten through 12th grade meets during the academic year at St. Joseph Catholic School (123 Franklin St.) from 9:45 - 11:00 am. Our classes are taught by staff who have been trained and background checked. All safety protocols mandated by the Diocese of Richmond are in place to ensure the health of our students.
